Welcome to The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital

Specialized pediatric care in New Jersey

Bristol-Myers Squibb 20th Anniversary IconFor two decades, The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital has provided nationally recognized care to the children and families of New Jersey and the throughout the region. Our dedicated, kids-only facilities are designed to put kids and their parents at ease. Totally separate from the adult services provided at RWJUH, they experience attention and highly specialized care from our pediatric specialists and clinical teams. We are dedicated to providing exceptional care and the highest level services found at only a handful of elite pediatric institutions nationwide.

The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital is at the center of a pediatric academic health campus that combines biomedical research at the Rutgers Child Health Institute and the PSE&G Children’s Specialized Hospital’s advanced pediatric rehabilitation care. In partnership with Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, BMSCH brings together clinical research, the latest therapies and the nation’s top physicians and nurses to treat complex pediatric illness.

Focus on the Family

Maintaining family-centered care is at the core of our philosophy. Going to the hospital can be an intimidating experience for a child, but our facilities and support programs are designed specifically to help put children at ease and provide parents with the resources they need during stressful times. The more relaxed and safe a patient feels, the easier it will be for them to focus on getting better.

Our state-of-the-art facilities are equipped with the latest in pediatric medical technology. All of our facilities and equipment are designed to treat smaller patients, which means increased patient safety and faster application of treatments. While our medical services are designed for children, we offer many amenities and services to benefit the whole family, including referrals to community resources and consultations with child life specialists. Our Child Life team is the largest in New Jersey, helping to promote the wellbeing of hospitalized children and their families.
