Residents are involved in sporting competitions in volleyball, soccer,
basketball, and cricket and socialize for bowling, snow-sports, trail
hiking and adventurous sports like bungee jumping and skydiving.
The Department of Medicine annually holds a Holiday Party in December and the Graduation Party in June for the outgoing PGY-3s. The family atmosphere is strengthened by frequent get-togethers organized by residents as for Thanksgiving, Halloween, New Year and ethnic festivities of residents. Residents in other departments, hospital employees, and attendings are often a part of these events.
